The Model 3 also hit a glass container which, due to the shock caused by the speed, was thrown in the air and exploded on the ground injuring twenty people.
The man, now 57, a taxi driver for 25 years and a resident of Essonne, was not in service on the evening of the fatal accidenthe circulated in the XIIIth district of Paris in his car with his wife and daughters when he lost control of the vehicle.
The investigation is still ongoing
Last Sunday we learned that the taxi driver filed a complaint on Friday against Tesla France for “endangering the lives of others”said his lawyer Sarah Saldmann.
“My client has always maintained the same version: the brake no longer worked, the accelerator got carried away and that is why he is filing a complaint for endangering the lives of others”, explained to AFP Master Sarah Saldmann. According to the lawyer, her client had bought his new vehicle in August 2021. The investigation now aims to determine, based in particular on technical expertise, whether the accident is the result of human error or technical failure.
