Tesla recalls 130,000 vehicles in the United States

If Elon Musk is in the news for his controversial takeover of Twitter, his company, Tesla is also regularly talked about for the many recall campaigns concerning his vehicles. Tesla has already recalled 48,000 Model 3 Performance in the United States in April for an issue preventing the display of the speedometer when using the “Track Mode” feature.

After another recall ordered by the European Commission, which called into question the fragility of the front bonnet of the vehicles, likely to open while driving, it is now a problem of overheating which can lead to a malfunction of the touch screen central. Overheating of the central unit of the infotainment system of Tesla models, for example, could prevent the central screen from displaying images from the rear view camera, warning lights and other information, the agency said. National Highway Safety Authority (NHTSA).

Relayed by the American agency, the recall campaign concerns around 130,000 vehicles in the United States, i.e. all models manufactured in 2021 and 2022.

To remedy the problem, the manufacturer has already announced that it will operate a remote update (“over-the-air”), according to NHTSA.
