The modern high school of Azaguié served as the setting, on May 18, 2022, for the very first activity in a city in the interior of Côte d’Ivoire, for the program to promote the culture of Science, Technology and of Innovation (STI) initiated by the FONSTI (Fund for science, technology and innovation).
Two conferences were given during this activity which mobilized more than 50 pupils from the Classes of Seconde and Première of all the series.
The first conference was given by Yoro Blé Marcel, Full Professor in Anthropology who spoke to the participants about the impact of the culture of science and innovation on society.
Second speaker, Professor Marie N’Bengue Alphonsine, for her part, shared with her audience the results of scientific research which is used today in the daily life of humanity.
According to Mrs. Marie N’Bengue Alphonsine, Full Professor in Bacteriology Virology at the Félix Houphouët-Boigny University, UFR of Medical Sciences, also a member of the scientific council of FONSTI and STI, for three (03) years, PASRES and FONSTI are interested in Teacher-Researchers and individuals. “The challenge today is to make actions to promote the culture of science and innovation sustainable for an impact on the development of the country. It is therefore imperative for FONSTI to go down to the base; and the base, it is the young people”, added Mrs. M’Bengue who represented, at this ceremony, Doctor Yaya Sangaré, Secretary General of FONSTI.
To succeed in this bet, “the FONSTI is ready to support young inventors, young innovators. We expect them to present innovative and original research projects,” she recommended, supporting Prof Marie N’Bengue Alphonsine.
At this stage of Azaguié, we noted the presence of Mrs. Diawara Salimata, from the Entrepreneurship service, representing the Director of Social Life (DVS), a Department of the Ministry of National Education and Literacy (MENA ).
