PCMC Opens State-of-the-Art Packaging Innovation Center

Paper Converting Machine Company (PCMC), part of Barry-Wehmiller, welcomed more than 70 customers, suppliers and supporters from across the region to its new Packaging Innovation Center for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, tour and overview of its modern facility. which intends to become the hub of the latest flexographic printing and packaging converting technologies.

Located at PCMC’s headquarters in Green Bay, this state-of-the-art facility, focused on the printing and packaging industries, will serve as a resource for training, industry demonstrations and trials, and research and development opportunities. . The new center has the latest equipment for plate mounting, laser cleaning of anilox rolls, central printing and inline flexographic printing.

The latest innovations in flexographic printing

“We are launching this unique experience center with flexographic central printing and in-line printing capabilities, and will soon add digital printing, laminating and bag and pouch converting equipment,” said Rodney Pennings , PCMC Sales Manager – Printing, Coating and Lamination. “We are very grateful to our industry partners for making their equipment, knowledge and experience available, so that we can share the latest innovations in flexographic printing and bag converting. »

Current PCMC partners include 3M, All Printing Resources Inc., AV Flexologic, Clean Planet, Fox Valley Flexo Services, Harper Corporation of America, Interflex Laser Engravers, INX International Ink Co., Miraclon, Rossini spa, Sandon Global, tesa SE , Wikoff Color Corporation and XSYS, in addition to Hudson-Sharp, which is part of PCMC.
