OpenSea will integrate the purchase of non-fungible tokens (NFT) by credit card with MoonPay

Buy NFTs by credit card on OpenSea thanks to MoonPay

OpenSea will soon offer an integration with Moon Pay to enable the purchase of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) by credit card.

Until then, it was already possible to credit your account by buying cryptocurrencies from this same service provider, directly from the platform. But this new function comes to improve the user experience by an additional notch.

Indeed, the improvement over MoonPay’s initial solution is that an OpenSea user does not need to recharge his account beforehand to then spend the cryptos. From now on, it will be possible to buy with your credit card in a single step, whether during the initial mint of an NFT collection or a resale on the secondary market.

The major credit card providers will be supported, namely Mastercard, Visa, American Express, but also Apple and Google Pay services. That said, we don’t yet have any information on when this new feature will be available, except that it should be rolled out in stages.

An ever-expanding platform

This week, we learned that OpenSea was also going to be deployed on the Solana blockchain. Scheduled for this month, this novelty could allow the platform to stand out a little more thanks to almost non-existent transaction costs of this network.

The possibility of payment by credit card is, for its part, an asset of choice to bring in new users. And for good reason, if this is not interesting for insiders in the world of cryptocurrency, because of the additional costs that are added, a novice will find there an alternative. much more comfortable.

With these latest innovations, it seems that OpenSea is establishing a solid foundation to continue to stand out from the competition day after day.

I timidly discovered the world of blockchain at the end of 2018 during my quest for financial freedom. Initially invested moderately, it was only two years later that I took the gamble of betting everything on the movement that was taking shape then. I then dedicate 2021 to training myself better to acquire more knowledge and seriousness. As I often like to say: I still have a billion things to learn. And what I do know, I want to share with you.
