Heat pumps are already experiencing double-digit growth. In 2020, there were 14.84 million heat pumps installed in Europe, i.e. 6% more than in 2019. France is the leading market in Europe with 394,000 units sold in 2020, ahead of Italy and France. Germany, which represents 48% of the European volume.

Energy independence: high investment, supported by the government

Of course, players in the energy sector already understand their potential to end our dependence on fossil fuels. However, mainstream adoption has been held back by the high investment a heat pump requires, despite the promise of lower energy bills.
