Elon Musk has openly gotten the hell out of Apple. To convince Internet users to buy Tesla’s Cyberwhistle, a whistle inspired by the Cybertruck, the founder of the automotive firm attacked the iPhone manufacturer’s controversial rag.
This December 1, 2021, Tesla has put on sale on its American store the Cyberwhistle, a $50 steel whistle. As the automotive firm explains, the design of the accessory is directly inspired by the Cybertruck, the brand’s futuristic pick-up which will be released in 2022.
“The Limited Edition Cyberwhistle is a premium collectible crafted from medical grade stainless steel with a polished finish. The whistle includes an integrated attachment for added versatility”details Tesla on its website.

Tesla’s $49 whistle is out of stock, like Apple’s rag
After announcing the sale of the whistle, Elon Musk, CEO and founder of Tesla, took the liberty of mock apple. “Don’t waste your money on that stupid Apple rag, buy our whistle instead!”laughs Elon Musk in a tweet. The richest man in the world openly compares the Tesla whistle to the rag marketed for a few weeks by Apple.
In the wake of the presentation of the MacBook Pro 2021, the Silicon Valley giant has indeed put on sale a cloth ideal for cleaning the screen of a MacBook, an iPad, an iPhone, an Apple Watch or an iPod. This piece of cloth marked with the seal of the brand has created a real controversy because of its high price. Apple indeed asks 25 euros for the cloth.
Mirroring Apple’s controversial rag, Tesla’s Cyberwhistle quickly found itself out of stock in the United States. Within hours, the stock of metal whistles was sold out. On the other hand, the accessory is always available on the official Tesla France website for the sum of 49 euros.
Note that Tesla is not the first to take a swipe at Apple. Shortly after the announcement, KFC made a mocking tweet comparing the cloth to the paper towel that accompanies its burgers. True to form, Samsung also took the opportunity to subtly tackle its rival by offering a free cleaning cloth to Galaxy S20 users.
