A new keyboard was launched by Casio on Tuesday evening (26), in an event attended by several partner musicians of the Japanese company, who showed novelties composed with the musical instrument.
The model, called “Casiotone CT-S1000V”, makes a significant leap from previous generations, bringing technologies that allow keyboard enthusiasts to use the Casio product to compose their music and apply differentiated features in their creations. , such as voice synthesis, synergistic reproduction of speech to the sound of keys and a wired or bluetooth connection for notebooks and smartphones.

According to company representatives, speech synthesis is not conventional modulation. In fact, she uses a mobile phone or a tablet to create lyrics and play them with the sound of the keyboard. Basically, using a dedicated application (lyrics makerfree for iOS and Android), creators can speak or type their lyrics and export them to the instrument.
Additionally, musicians specifically skilled in instrumental sound but who don’t have or don’t have a good vocalist can use the Casio keyboard to add preset voices to their performance. At the event, this was evident in the pocket show presented by Billy Forghieri, from Banda Blitz: the keyboardist was alone, so he managed to reproduce the voice of his colleague Evandro Mesquita while playing, all alone, the hits of the group that became famous in the 1980s.
“As the keyboard is played, the lyrics of the lyrics are sung in sequence to create a vocal line. Without being limited to a specific melody, it is possible to draw inspiration and experiment with different musical ideas. The CT-S1000V also lets you change the timbre of the voice and add and adjust effects in real time while you play.
The Casio keyboard has 100 pre-entered letters, all with the ability to correct and modify the modulation, timbre and pitch of the voice, varying between different styles – all controllable from the front panel of the instrument -, by plus sampling features with the ability to record up to 10 seconds of high-quality audio or multiple three-second samples to create drum beats via a 1.8-inch stereo input jack.
The Casiotone CT-S1000V is expected to go on sale in May at the company’s authorized stores.
