Carlili raises 24 million euros

The one who claims the role of pioneer in the rental of vehicles delivered to homes since 2015, announces the concretization of a funding round of 24 million euros; round raised with the Banque des Territoires (Caisse des Dépôts) and the French fund for the ecological modernization of transport (Demeter).

Carlili is betting on the resumption of domestic getaways and on the underlying trend of sustainable tourism. Objective: convince by the relevance of its vision and its unique model of car rental without agency, including delivery and collection of the vehicle at home.

The €24m raised will be used mainly to: develop and publicize Carlili in France; double the workforce in 12 months: from 30 to 60 people (notably Tech & Product teams); accelerate the transition of our fleet to 100% electric, in particular with the acquisition of 300 Tesla (Model 3 and Model Y).

By positioning itself as an alternative to the private car, Carlili wishes to respond to an essential environmental challenge: the decarbonization of mobility. “Our objective is to accelerate towards a world in which the car is used for certain journeys, in addition to less carbon-intensive means of everyday transport, affirms Vincent Moindrot, CEO and founder of Carlili. We want to allow each of our members to save up to 1.4 tons of CO2 per year, by switching to the rental of 100% electric vehicles. »

Thanks to an accessible premium positioning, Carlili wishes to broaden the target of potential customers for its offer and thus amplify its impact. While car rental rates and fuel prices are soaring, Carlili’s prices remain competitive, including the price of charging for each 100% electric rental.

“At Carlili, we are convinced that the environmental crisis will have a profound impact on the evolution of consumer habits, in particular through the acceleration of a

consumption on demand rather than possession, continues Vincent Moindrot, CEO and founder of Carlili. We also anticipate soaring energy prices, which will lead each of us to turn to alternatives to the car for daily travel. By combining a 2-hour delivery service unique in Europe, an in-house fleet of state-of-the-art electric vehicles and the possibility of using our partners’ fleets from time to time, Carlili offers the ideal solution to meet occasional and fluctuating demands and therefore to this societal evolution.”
