Holder of the Canada Research Chair in Bioengineering and Bionanotechnology at the Université de Montréal, UdeM Chemistry Department professor Alexis Vallée-Bélisle specializes in the creation of DNA-based medical technologies.

It is through a program created by the Quebec Ministry of Economy and Innovation and Axelys – a government agency whose mission is to accelerate the development and transfer of high-potential innovations from public research – that the researcher has obtained this major grant, which will be used to bring his discovery out of his laboratory.

Alexis Vallée-Bélisle spoke with us about this project, which also benefits from a partnership with the company Anasens, a young company of which he is one of the co-founders.
