The customer of a Tesla Model 3 in China received a bad surprise: a charging bill of more than 500,000 euros.
This is an error that can make the owner of the Tesla Model 3 that we are going to talk about smile today, but at the time, the message received by Tesla did not necessarily have to make him laugh.
Indeed, a Chinese customer of a Tesla Model 3 Standard Range Plus has been notified by the American brand of his banishment from the Superchargers charging network.
An error quickly rectified
The reason ? An invoice that has not been paid. So far, nothing really abnormal, until the invoice in question appears and indicates an amount of 2,846,306 CNY, approximately €563,000.
More than half a million euros on recharges on Superchargers, this corresponds to a consumption of nearly 2GWhis around 32,000 recharges from 0 to 100% of a 60 kWh battery. Technically, recharging your car 32,000 times from 0 to 100% seems very complicated, so Tesla customer service promptly rectified the error.
Tesla opens its Superchargers to everyone
Since Monday, January 31, 16 French Supercharger stations are now open to any electric vehicle with a CCS socket. This approach is part of the pilot program initiated in the Netherlands and which began at the beginning of November 2021.
Currently, the French network has more than 1000 charging points distributed in more than 100 stations. 16 stations, representing precisely 230 charging points, are now accessible to any electric vehicle with a CCS socket.
V2 Superchargers offer up to 150kW of charging power, while the V3s can reach 250kW. In Europe, 31 stations are now open to everyone: 10 in the Netherlands, 15 in Norway and therefore 16 in France.
